The CD-REDD project was a partnership led by the Coalition for Rainforest Nations (CfRN) with Thünen Institute of Forest Ecosystems (TI) and funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ):
This project was part of the International Climate Initiative. The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety supported this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
